MiMOMax Wireless radios can be accessed via DNP3 and SNMP – widely used protocols for communications and network monitoring.
A highly robust interoperable communications protocol, DNP3 (Distributed Network Protocol version 3.0) can be used by MiMOMax radios for network monitoring purposes. Used to communicate between RTUs (Remote Terminal Units), IEDs (Intelligent Electronic Devices) and SCADA master stations (aka Control Centres), various DNP3 points can be easily added or removed using MiMOMax Configuration, Control & Monitoring Software depending on the user’s monitoring needs.
MiMOMax radios can be accessed via SNMPv2c/3 (Simple Network Management Protocol) for network monitoring purposes. The radio supports a variety of traps (notifications) in combination with data acquired via polling. SNMP has options for plain connection or secure authentication with DES or AES128.
