MiMOMax and Tait provide 900MHz linking solution for Public Safety Communications

Posted on 29 November 2013 by Kevin Smith

MiMOMax Wireless in partnership with Tait Communications have recently implemented a radio network across the counties of Adair and Russell in the state of Kentucky.

The network comprised of two identical systems containing 4 MiMOMax 900 MHz NDL units linking Tait TB900 P25 simulcast repeaters. The Public Safety communications solution provides communications across two large counties and took two days to build, configure and test. When asked about his experience with MiMOMax radio links and the ease of integrating a MiMOMax link into a network, Tait Senior Customer Engineer Paul Kocken replied:

‘Oh! Very easy, usually it is just plug and play.’

MiMOMax point-to-point solutions are ultra-spectrally efficient and can deliver a large number of radio channels with very low latency and jitter (latency typically 8ms in a 25 kHz channel). Links can support all open PMR network standards including MPT 1327, MPT-IP, P25, DMR, TETRA and QS Simulcast in trunked and conventional configurations. Specializing in “customized” wireless linking solutions, MiMOMax listen to customer’s unique requirements to design and implement an appropriate solution tailored to their needs. Equipment is delivered preconfigured and tuned to the customer’s specifications and can be deployed into the field with ease thanks to the radio’s ability to “Plug and Play” with most PMR systems.
